One 60-day cruise around the Land Down Under was terminated following the death of an elderly lady who was stranded by the cruise liner on a isolated coastal location.

The elderly woman had been walking on the remote island with other travelers from the Coral Adventurer, but separated from the excursion for a rest. The liner sailed away leaving her and returned several hours later after the crew became aware the lady was not present.

A large-scale search operation discovered her body the following day.

Investigative bodies are examining the tragedy, together with police and the official investigator.

The CEO of the shipping company announced that passengers and staff on the ship were notified that the continuation of the voyage had been cancelled due to the "sad loss and prior technical problems".
